Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to read and use anzum.com, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or larger text. We build the site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we design text colours to the stricter 7:1 contrast ratio.

Conformance status

anzum.com partially conforms with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conforms means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. The known exceptions are listed below.

How we tested

On 26 October 2026 we audited the site with the same method we use for clients:

  • Automated testing of all 295 English and Arabic pages in our sitemaps with axe-core 4.11, using the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA rules, and one page of each template again at phone width.
  • Keyboard testing of 18 templates from start to end: skip link, focus visibility, keyboard traps and focus hidden behind the sticky header.
  • Reflow at 320 pixels wide and the WCAG text spacing settings on the same templates.

We fixed the issues we found in our own code, and wrote descriptions for the 15 archive images that had none (two more were missing and have been removed). You can read what we found and changed on our WCAG audit page. Manual testing with the VoiceOver, NVDA and TalkBack screen readers is the next step, and this statement will be updated with the results.

Known limitations

  • Bot check on the contact form. The Cloudflare Turnstile widget that protects our contact form adds keyboard stops without a visible focus style. It is supplied by Cloudflare and we cannot change it. If it blocks you, use the alternative in the feedback section below.
  • Videos in archive articles. A few older articles embed YouTube videos. The YouTube player has accessibility issues of its own that we cannot fix, and these videos do not have transcripts.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and with the screen readers built into Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. It does not rely on any accessibility overlay or toolbar.
